The Annual Informational Meeting of St. Helena Park Homeowner’s Association will be held Monday, May 13, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Rianda House located at 1475 Main Street in St. Helena. We invite and encourage all owners to attend this meeting.
Five positions for the Board of Director’s are currently up for election for one-year terms. If you would like to be a candidate for a Board of Directors seat, please complete the enclosed candidacy statement. Nominations may also be made from the floor and will be closed at the end of the Annual Information Homeowners meeting. Nominations from the floor require that the nominees be present to accept the nomination. Incumbent, Roberta Oswald is seeking re-election. Patrick Raggio and Jim Przybylinski are willing to serve another term if no owners come forward to run for re-election. Mark Epstein is undecided if he will be seeking re-election. Bob Hecox will not be seeking re-election. The board would like to thank Bob for his service to SHPA over the past decade and his contributions to the community will be greatly missed.
If you have any questions regarding the election, you may contact the nominating committee or EBMC. The nominating committee members are Dianne Przybylinski, Bob Hecox , and Jen Lifshay.
Following the close of nominations at the Annual meeting, if there are five or less candidates, the Board will be elected by acclamation at the Board of Directors meeting immediately following the Annual Membership Meeting. If the number of candidates exceeds the number of seats available, secret ballots will be mailed to all homeowners following the meeting. As per section 3.4 (k) of the Association ByLaws cumulative voting is not allowed.
Again, we urge owners to attend this important meeting, and consider volunteering for your community. We need your ideas and involvement to ensure St. Helena Park remains a great community to live.
